For my very first post I thought I would start by letting you know a little bit more about me. I live in Sydney with my hubby and 2 children, a 13 year old daughter and 7 year old son.
After I left school I studied fashion technology at East Sydney Tech and had every intention in making my mark in the fashion world, however, life got in the way and I ended up travelling instead. After 6 weeks in Italy my spending money had run out - it was supposed to keep me going for 12 months, I am without doubt a spender not a saver! I made it to London and started a job at Harrods. I worked in several different departments including the babies and children's areas. My time in the UK was amazing not only did get to visit some incredible countries, meet some fabulous people I also met the man I would eventually marry.
I started red plum linen when I couldn't find the kind of fabrics & bedding that I wanted for my daughter's room. I spent almost a year doing research and started out with a handful of designs. red plum is now 12 years old and I sometimes still pinch myself that I am living the dream of owning my own business.
